Trips in KK - Furby in town!!! ^^
Not realizing the time flow, it will be 3 months since the day I set foot in KK. Bringing my thoughts back to the first day I reached here, "What a nice and peaceful place this is. The sky is broad, the road is broad, the sea is broad. It must be a nice place to live here." Well… today i still feel the same way about KK. Although my work place kinda sucked, but I’ll compensate tat with the nice atmosphere here ^^
Well, well, well, ever since I reached KK, I’ve little time to go sightseeing and travel around. Staying with my project engineer here, he is not really interested in traveling around. (maybe wanna save cost?) But is life here is changed ever since my beloved Furby (or perhaps I shall call her as "Bibi" here :p) come and give a visit in KK =^-^= No more boring days staying at home and watch TV and hang on the laptop. My traveling life have sprouted! Hehe. Although she was here in KK for only 3 days and 2 nights, but we had a happy and sweet time traveling around. ^^
First stop we went to Mount Kinabalu - The World Heritage Site. I rented a super economical Perodua Kancil 660 manual drive to climb the 4000+m mount KK. :p What to do laa, no money, dun sue me! hehe… Trip took 2+ hours and it was not a bad drive there. Lots of nice scenes on the way. Hmm… there we visited the Mount Kinabalu National Park (place where mount climbers start their journey) and Poring Hot Spring (some nice place together there, the hot spring, butterfly farm, canopy walkway, kipungit waterfall, bat cave and langanan waterfall) Took a nice nice natural hot spring bath there with my Bibi. ^^ At dawn, we make our journey down and stop by a famous makan place "Gayang Seafood Restaurant". Had a delicious Giant Tiger Prawn there.^^ The next day we went around KK town. Visited the Day Market and went shopping in 2 of the most visited shopping mall in KK. Lunch was by the sea at the Waterfront. Nice place to hang out day and night. Sit by the wooden platform extended to the sea. Food is so-so lar, but at a ok price. Suppose to go for either a Korean or Japanese food but all closed at 2-5pm =.=""" By dawn, Bibi have to go check in at the airport. After checking in, we took a fast drive to Tanjung Aru Beach which is only beside the airport. Superb sunset view there. ^^ But sad to face the truth, Bibi have to go back to KL already… T.T But we had a really nice time together in KK. Hope she can come over again soon if my project is still running here.

A week after Bibi’s visit, I finish up the itinerary I made for Bibi’s visit which we did not have time to do it. Went on a one man trip to Manukan Island - one of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Parks. Trip there by boat is around 40 mins. Hm… overall it’s a nice place to relax, swim with the fishies, snorkel with the coral and some adventure. Should be much nicer if Bibi is with me T.T

A week after Manukan, two of my colleague from office came to KK to help out in the project. During the weekend, 3 silly and nothing better to do guys decided to go Island visit! Haha… yes again I’m going to the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, but not Manukan this time, it’s Sapi Island! Boat ride to the island this time is horrifying yet thrilling :p The sea is pretty rough and we experienced some high flying cruise through the wave. *swt* On the boat, opposite me was a couple from Hong Kong. The guy was carrying their 1-2 year old baby and the girl is so scared and cling to the guy. Everytime the boat fly, the girl scream and hit the guy and blame why do he suggest to go out to the island. But surprisingly the baby did not cry throughout the ride. And the baby was kinda cute expression. Hahaha. At Sapi, we did not see much coral or fishes due to the big waves. The crystal clear water now is all blurry =.= But we did went to snorkel at the restricted area. There the water is clear and still. Can see many fishes swimming round and round us ^^ But after some time the life guard come to chase us away from there
Sapi is much smaller than Manukan. My recommendation after 2 island trip: go to Manukan. More coral and fish to see and the beach is longer and the sea bed is not deep ^^
