7/2/09 - The One, Abu Dhabi

The One is not actually a restaurant itself. It’s actually a home furniture designer store and the restaurant is in side the store. The restaurant is furnished with all The One’s designer furniture. The lamps are the best. They gives a relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. I’m pretty sure you will be able to have a great dinner and chill out at this place.
It was the beginning of the month. We just got our pay check and want to pamper our little stomach with some good food (we got bored of indian-style dinner every night). The One is not far away from our place. Walking distance. But that day we decided not to walk there cause it had been a tiring day of work. So we head for the taxi. ^^

For Starters we choose the Wild Mushroom soup. It was the best mushroom soup I have tried for some time. Definitely not from Cambell’s Mushroom Soup cans. :p Tagged at AED26.00.

My Main course: Gourmet Burger. 100% pure beef patty. The patty is very fresh but a little bit dry. Side dished with some boiled vege. The portion is very big, after finishing it my stomach almost explode. XD Tagged at AED42.00

Furby’s Main Course: Feta Chicken. A breast fillet stuffed with some spice with the feta sauce. Side dished with mesh potato. Quite unique taste but Furby dun really like the sauce. The portion is also very big. She can’t finish it. Tagged at AED44.00

We are so full that we cant order any more desert. The One’s cakes are quite good. We tried pumpkin cheese cake during the Last Christmas. They are fabulous.
After munching, I snapped some exposures while chatting. The 50mm f/1.8 AF-D is really great. Sharpness and bokeh surpass the kit lens like sky and earth

Furby also snapped some great pictures. Some how her skill are far better than mine :p

It was a great day dining at The One that day. ^^
